Advertising policy


  • Ads will appear in the Journal. They will also be posted on the website on a 12 month trial basis starting January 2012.
  • Advertising via e-mail is to be avoided and requires approval as an exception.
  • The advertiser must be a paid-up member.
  • There must be room for the ad. We offer no guarantees that the ad will appear.
  • The ad should have a horticultural connection.
  • Ads should be brief notes written and “signed” by an identified member and addressed to fellow members.
  • It is acceptable to include a link or reference to more extensive external advertising e.g. a realtor’s listing.
  • Members can submit ads for other horticultural groups. We do not exclude ads from members related to their business.
  • We exercise discretion regarding the frequency of such ads.
  •  We do not charge for these ads because we believe they provide a service to our members.
  • These rules regarding advertising do not apply to notices or promotional material regarding ORG&HPS core activities and fundraising events.
