Bio:  I have been a lifelong gardener, but my first love was science. I graduated as a Registered Medical Technologist (Bacteriology) and worked in that field for 5 years.

After getting married and having two children I returned to school and graduated with a B.Sc. (Biochemistry).I worked as a Research Assistant for 4 years and then returned complete a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Plant Physiology ( Micropropagation). I did research at Stokes Seeds for 10 years and then set up a micropropagation laboratory and successfully produced 50-60,000 plants per year for the wholesale trade in Ontario. I also taught Plant Biochemistry, Plant Physiology and Evolutionary Botany. I am now retired but still enjoy growing and sharing plants.
