50 years in the Horticultural Industry!
Garry has been gardening since he was 8 years old with the guidance of his grandad and dad who were both great gardeners.
He left school at 15 and went straight into the wholesale horticultural industry and completed his 3 year formal horticultural training in Devon, England. He was fortunate to work for some of the top nurseries in the UK at the time. In his late twenties he set up his first nursery, Goldenleaf Alpines followed by Forest Lodge Nursery where he grew everything from Alpines, Shrubs, Perennials to Trees. Garry emigrated to Canada in 2002 with his family and set up Four Season Landscaping in Muskoka. In 2014 they moved to their current location and established Meadow View Gardens and Nursery. The 7 acres of gardens and grounds over the last seven years had become a very successful wedding venue, which is now no longer in operation. He is now re-establishing the nursery where he will be growing a range of woodland plants, Alpine and rarely seen perennials and bulbs. He has recently launched a youtube channel where he is hoping to pass on some of his gardening and growing knowledge that he has gained over the past 50 years.
