Mike Stewart is a past President of the ARS and Past President of the Rhododendron Species Foundation. He was also along with his late wife Maria, the owner of the Dover Nursery.
After 45 years in the wholesale nursery business, he is now retired.
During his years in business, they shipped around 40,000 rhododendrons per year to garden centres throughout the US and Canada. They grew exclusively rhododendrons with approximately 1,200 varieties.
